REDUCTION ==== A chemical reaction in which hydrogen Is added to on oxygen is removed from a compound. opposite of OXIDATION.
EXAMPLE --------- There has been a huge reduction in the amount of animals at the zoo and everyone thinks it is due to the bad weather in the town.

OXIDATION ===== oxidation is the loss of electrons during a reaction by a molecule, atom, or ion. oxidation occurs when the oxidation state of molecule ,atom or ion is increased.
EXAMPLE --------- An example is rusting. when rusting happens, oxygen steals electrons from iron. oxygen gets reduced while iron get oxidized.
