both classification and evolution are interlinked.
evolution is a result of sexual reproduction which eventually leads to DNA copying and as it is not accurate errors happen which brings the changes in the progeny.
classification is the grouping of the various organisms according to their species and common ancestry so by classifying the organisms we are able to identify the evolution that has taken place in the organisms and also dating back to their common ancestry. only by classifying the organisms will we come to know evolution has taken place or not.
