Relative humidity is the amount of water vapour present in air expressed as a percentage of the amount needed for saturation at the same temperature.
We can also say that relative humidity is the ratio of the partial pressure of water vapor to the equilibrium vapor pressure of water at a given temperatur.

Relative humidity is the amount of humidity present in air compared to the amount of humidity that the same air can hold in the given temperature..
you can find relative humidity by:
Amount of humidity present in air ➗ amount of humidity that the air can hold ✖ 100
Eg: 25 ➗ 50 ✖ 100
here 25 is amount of humidity present in air and 50 is amount of humidity that the air can hold. temp= 10° Celsius..
Now 25/ 50=0.5
0.5 ✖100= 50
so relative humidity is 50 in the given temperature..
you can find relative humidity by:
Amount of humidity present in air ➗ amount of humidity that the air can hold ✖ 100
