P(x) = x^4 + 1

g(x) = x-2

g(x) = 0

=> x-2 = 0

=> x = 2

By Remainder theoram,

On putting x = 2, we get

P(2) = (2)^4 + 1

Remainder = 16 + 1

= 17

I think x^2 will be the remainder but I'm not sure
