Answer:

Reproduction is the biological process by which new individual organisms – "offspring" – are produced from their "parents". Reproduction is a fundamental feature of all known life; each individual organism exists as the result of reproduction. There are two forms of reproduction: asexual and sexual.

Answer:

  • Reproduction is the process of formation of new individuals by sexual or asexual means.
  • There are two types of reproduction- Asexual reproduction and Sexual reproduction.
  • Sexual reproduction results in the formation of new characteristics because in this type of reproduction the male and female gametes fuse to form the zygote. Hence the offspring inherits features from both the parents and hence is not identical to them. Whereas in asexual reproduction the offspring is identical to the parent as there is no mixing of male and female gametes.
