Reproduction is the process by which new organisms are generated.  It is the mechanism of species continuation.  There are two means of reproducing: asexual and sexual reproduction.

When two lions mate, they produce lion cubs as offspring.  A bee carrying pollen from one daisy to another fertilizes it, causing it to reproduce in the form of fertilized seeds.  In these and all other examples of reproduction, new individuals are created from existing ones.

⭕The process of reproduction can be defined as producing young ones or new organism which looks something similar to the parent.

⭕This life process ensures the continuation of species from one generation to another generation.

⭕Reproduction can be called fundamental feature of life because all the life forms present on the earth is a result of reproduction.

⭕Reproduction process is classified into two parts:-
Sexual reproduction
Asexual reproduction

⭕In Sexual reproduction, the gametes of male and female gametes fuse with each other to form a new organism. Male gamete is sperm and female gamete is ovum.

⭕In Asexual reproduction, the new organism is formed by the participation of just one organism. It means the process of reproduction is carried by only one parent. This process of reproduction don't have any role of gametes.
