The opposition offered by any conductor to the flow of electrons is called resistance.
The resistance offered by a unit lengh of conductor of a given material is called specific resistance or resistivity of that material .
On the other hand tge reciprocal of resistivity is called conductivity..

NotSoNerdMeh: a more specific definition for conductivity please?
skyswagger2001: the ability of any material to promote the flow of current or electrons in it is known as its conductivity.
Avi11111111: correct
NotSoNerdMeh: wow, thanks!
skyswagger2001: yeah... your welcome buddy
NotSoNerdMeh: :)

resistivity is property of a metal to thing to offer resistance to the flow of current or A material constant denoting propensity for electrical resistance,

conductivity is the property of a metal or substance to conduct electricity or The ability of a material to conduct electricity, heat, fluid or sound
hope it may help you ....
