Hi friend,

■ In Chemistry , Resonance or mesomerism is a way of describing demoralized electrons within certain molecules or polyatomic ions where the bonding can't be expressed by one single Lewis structure.

■ When, more than one Lewis structure can be drawn, the molecules and ion is said to have resonance. The individual Lewis structure are turmed contributing resonance structure. Resonance is a common features of many molecules and ions in organic chemistry.

..i hope it helps you

\huge\text{\underline{Resonance:}}

It is the tendency of a system to oscillate at larger amplitude at some frequencies.

\sf{\underline{Resonance\:structure:}}

They are the canonical forms of a molecule with similar chemical formula but different arrangement of bonding.

\sf{\underline{NOTE:}}

⚫These frequencies are known as resonant frequencies.

⚫At these frequencies even a small driving force can produce large amplitudes.
