Persistence of sound (after the source stops producing sound) due to repeated reflection is known as reverberation.

Reverberation can be reduced by following methods: (i) By covering the walls and roof of the halls with sound absorbing materials. (ii) By providing heavy curtains with folds, so that reflection of the sound is avoided

1. reduce the sound power of the source.

2. Increase distance.

3. use a barrier or enclosure

4. add obsuption / diffusion .

5.use masking sound.

6. use reverberation isolation.

7. consider active control.
