Rock salt is the mineral form of Sodium bicarbonate ( NaHCo3 ) solution.The salt occurs in beds of sedimentary evaporite minerals. This is caused by large lakes and seas drying up.
It is a basic solution and we know that ages died up.They are brown in color due to impurities.
