Well I'm extremely sorry to disappoint you but the answer to your question is gonna be partially factual. The fact is that sulphide ores are light. If the sulphide ores are dipped in pine oil(answer to part of your question :) which is a frothing agent, collector decreases the wettability of the ore particles thus when air is passed through this pine oil + ore mixture, the ore particles rise up in bubbles aka froth which is skimmed off and then on popping the bubble....Yayyy you get the relatively pure ore with zero gangue
