Hymens initial role was to keep the dust and other sexually transmitted diseases clear but it has an another function of clearing the dust out of it's membrane.
It is also contained in the virgins (those females who never had a sexual intercourse in their life) where the vaginal orifice (the small covering present just below the vagina and covering the cervix) which partially covers Andy is covered by an annular centerally perforated membrane However, the breaking of the orifice releases the blood from the ruptured membrane and is a painful process with regards to it.
