root pressure is very useful for plant. it is the pressure exerted by roots to transport the material such as ions or water from root to all parts of the plant .

it is useful because it provide important material to plant . the pressure is exerted by the tissues present in the roots which are xylem and phleom . So the water is transported to all upper parts of the plant from the lower parts of the plant body.

roots keep on absorbing ions from soil. this creates a difference of concentration of these ions. to eliminate his difference water moves up into the roots. this helps the plant to transport water from the roots to upper pars of plant through xylem
