Rotational latency or rotational delay is the time taken by the hard disc drive or floppy drive to bring the read/write head to the required sector before starting read/write operation. The rotational latency and rotational speed of the disc are directly proportional to each other. So we can reduce the rotational latency by increasing the rotational speed of the disc.
