Rowlatt Act started in the year 1919 this act was passed because it gave government in normal power to replace the political activities and allowed intonation of political Prisoner without trial for 2 year.

Rowlatt Act or the Black Act was passed in 1919 , by Justice Rowlatt. According to this act ,any British soldier could get into anyone's house , anytime and arrest anyone without warrant..This act gave immense power in the hand f the soldiers.Or simply we can say that - The Rowlatt Act passed in 1919 authorised the government to imprison people without trial.
