what is scattering of light? explain with example

scattering is the splitting of white light into its seven component colours (VIBGYOR).for example when sunligt is made to fall on a glass prism the white light gets scattered into the seven colours

SCATTERING- when light is incident on very tiny particle it propagates in all possible direction is called scattering of light.it propagates in all possible direction the remaining light propagates in original direction...
