what is science in our daily life
Answers
You are sitting at a desk typing into a computer... or perhaps your are entering it on a smart phone. You are reaching out to thousands of people who can respond instantly from places far around the word. You have, at your fingertips, more knowledge accessible than any time in history. Your communication device is made up of micro-circuitry that would fill a large football stadium if made out of vacuum tubes. It runs on electricity generated by nuclear reactors or other exotic technologies and uses radio waves (wifi, cell phones, etc.) and other unseen and seemingly magical methods to tie them all together...
and you ask how science is useful?
Simply try to imagine your life and your world without these products of science. Let's see.. you are sitting in the dark, wearing furs or hand woven cloth. You probably eke out a living hoping that from one day to the next that you will have enough to eat. You are likely one of the few survivors of your many brothers and sisters, who died of diseases that could have been prevented or cured. You work by candlelight and heat your home burning wood. Your back aches from carrying water from a nearby well and you have likely never been more than a dozen miles from the place you were born.
Gee... with some science, your life could be very, very different.
Again, I find this type of question on Quora to be distressing and annoying. I cannot understand how anyone could ask such a question unless they are from adolescents trolling for things to say to fill a paper for a homework assignment from an elementary school class.
Seriously, take advantage of the resources offered here and ask a substantive question.
