what is secularism? mention confusion provision that make India a secular state

The believes that religion should not be involved or influenced in the organisation of society, education, government or any other conflict is secularism.
Simply secular means the things which are not religious or related to any religion.So, if there is a particular religion followed at any place so it is religious state as if only Islam is followed at a place, so it is an Islamic religious state.
On the other hand, if we talk about our India, then it is a secular state as no any particular religion is followed here. There are people following different religions and different cultures and traditions,so, we can call India as a secular state.
