What is sedimentation,decantation and filtration?

sedimentation is a process in which solid liquid solution can be separated for this you need to take two containers put the solution in one then starre it and then after 10 min u can see that the heavier component or solid will settle down and then u can pour the water into another container these process is called decantation ...for eg water mixed with sand

filtration is the process in which u can separate the same mixture..
but by a filter paper or muslin cloth or a filter tunnel...
just the particles should be different in weight and size. solid should be bigger and heavier in size and weight then liquid.
for eg tea leaves mixed with water
