hey buddy!! here's your answer...

the endoplasmic reticulum is of 2 types -

➡️SER -- it is smooth endoplasmic reticulum.its main function is to synthesize lipids and hormones

➡️RER -- it is Rough endoplasmic reticulum. its main function is in synthesis of proteins as it has ribosomes on its surface.
