Sex determination in human beings written by a pair of factors:

In female XX

In male XY

In sperm and ovum, number of chromosomes is half.

When ovum of mother combines with sperm of father then zygote is formed in which the number of chromosomes become double. Again the number of chromosomes become double. By this offspring is formed whose sex depends whether it has both X (XX) or one Y (XY) . If both are X then female is formed and by zygote of one X and one Y male is formed.

It is clear that probability of formation of both male and female for each pair is 50% means sex of a person male or female is just a coincidence . For this neither mother nor father is responsible.

Answer:

A sex-determination system is a biological system that determines the development of sexual characteristics in an organism. Most organisms that create their offspring using sexual reproduction have two sexes. Occasionally, there are hermaphrodites in place of one or both sexes.
