Answer:

Sex determination is a process through which we can distinguish an organism's sexuality as male and female. In humans, sex of an organism is decided during the fertilization of the sperm and ovum. The male gamete is of of two types X and Y and the female is of only X type. So, whenever the female X gets fertilized by a male X it resulys into a female progeny and if the female X gets fertilized by the male Y then it results in male progeny. So here in humans males are sex determiners.

This is how human sex is determined. But the sex determiners might be changed in other organisms. Like wise females are the sex determiners in birds.

This sex determination can be done using the technique AMNIOSCENTESIS which is currently illegal.

Hope it helps!!!
