The reproduction in which two parents are involved in the birth of an offspring is known as sexual reproduction. In this, the genetic material of the offspring contains the genetic material from both the parents which is similar to that of the parents but not identical.
In sexual reproduction, there is a chance of variation in the genotype and accordingly the phenotype of the offspring giving more adaptability to the environment so that it can survive harsh environments.
