To cultivate a land for sometime and go away from that land remaining it baren and go to another place in search of new land. This is known as Shifting Cultivation.
Disadvantages of Shifting Cultivation are :
1) Land become barre .
2) Soil erosion will happen when there are no crops .
3) During rainy season by rain some seeds will come and grow on their own. This will make the home of snakes and many other harmful animals.
