Because it contain slash and burning method in which standing vegetation is burnt Down to create a land for growing another things. Because it leads to deforestation and in this cultivation trees are cutted thats why we discourage it

It is process by which a patch of forest is cleared and agriculture is done in that spot.
When the land loses its fertility then they move to the next patch
It is discourages as this would cause deforestation aswell as air polution because forest is burned for this process
