1. swadeshi means encouraging the use of native goods and services and boycotting  the foreign goods,services and people.
2. swadeshi movement was a part of indian national movement.it was started in 1905 against the partition of bengal.
3. as a part of swadeshi movement several protest meetings were held and a call was given in the beggining for boycotting english cloth and salt.
4. there was tremendous mass response to this call.boycott and public burning of foreign cloth,picketing of shops,selling of foreign goods were the areas of agitation.
