The picture provided is a pictorial representation of a food chain.

Food chain is the transfer of energy and matter in the form of food from organism to organism.

Food chain have several trophic levels and the Carnivores or Omnivores are always at the top level.

In the given representation

1) the plant shown is the producer.

2) the grasshopper is the primary consumer.

3) the bird and the snake both are on the trophic level of secondary consumers.

4) the owl is the tertiary consumer.

Grasshopper eats the plant, the grasshopper is then eaten by the bird, the snake might eat the bird and then the owl being on the top of the tertiary trophic level eats the snake.
