SI unit is the unit which is adopted internationally hence all the people use this system and hence can communicate with each other easily.

For example in our country we measure length in terms of hand.

like a tables length is 2 hands.

Whereas in other countries they use legs.Hence if that country people who use leg come to our country can't understand the length we are talking about hence metre has been fixed as SI unit and hence we use it
