Well, they both have something called a nucleus, but I think that's pretty much it. Their nucleuses don't even do nearly the same thing, in a cell it's where the DNA is located, but in an atom it's where the neutrons and protons are located. Cells are made of atoms, ones the building block of the other. It's kind of like comparing a cell to an animal.
