Jump to: navigation, search. The Indian Statutory Commission, commonly referred to as the Simon Commission was a group of seven British Members of Parliament of United Kingdom under the chairmanship of Sir John Allsebrook Simon assisted by Clement Attlee.

The simon commission was sent to India to review the Government of India Act of 1919 and suggested further reforms to appease the Indians. Congress decided to oppose it as the commission did not have even a single Indian Representative. It was also boycotted by the Muslim League.
