hey mate,

A single-replacement reaction replaces one element for another in a compound. ... A double-replacement reaction exchanges the cations (or the anions) of two ionic compounds. A precipitation reaction is a double-replacement reaction in which one product is a solid precipitate.

Hola!

Here's Your Answer,

DISPLACEMENT REACTION: When a highly reactive metal displaces a low reactive metal from its salt solution this reaction is called as displacement reaction. For eg: Na+Cl = NaCl

DOUBLE DISPLACEMENT REACTION: exchange of ions between 2 compounds which leads to the formation of new compound is called as double displacement reaction. For Eg; Na2SO4 + BaCl2 = BaSO4 + 2NaCl
