¨A skeletal structure is a structure whose members are represented by lines possessing certain rigidity properties. They are one-dimensional members and are also called as bar members because their cross-sectional dimensions are small in comparison to their lengths. The skeletal structures may be determinate or indeterminate.

Continuum structure is a type of skeletal structure.
Continuum structures include the structure formed from a surface element. Such structures do not have a distinct joint. Examples - flat slab, curved shell element and solids like dames and retain walls.

Skeletal structure:

It is actually a structure in which the members are illustrated by the certain rigidity of the lines processing .The members of it is known as bar members this is because they have quite small cross section dimensions

Continuum structure:

it is a also a structure but involves the structure which usually formed from the surface element . This is actually a type of skeletal structure and there is no distinct joint exist in this structure.
