The largest slum in Asia is Dharavi.

1) Poor unhygienic conditions are found in these areas.

2) Poor ventilation: There is lack of fresh air in these areas, the houses are so tightly packed.

3) There is a lack of basic amenities in these areas. The basic needs of people such as fresh drinking water,lack of hygienic or clean toilets.

4) These areas are so congested that transport cannot be provided

5) Slums are inhabited by people who can't earn enough money to buy a house for high housing costs.
