when most of theoxygen is consumed in burning of coal and respiration then in pack of oxygen carbon monoxide forms by further burning of coal which binds up with the haemoglobin in blood makes a stable complex which do not allow oxygen to be transported in body by haemoglobin and the sleeping inside that closed room will be dead due to no oxygen supply to his brain, heart and other body parts.
