In human eye, Cornea absorbs UV-B  radiations and the high dose of absorbed UV-B can causes the inflammation of cornea.

This inflammation of cornea due to the absorption of high level of short waves of UV that is UV-B is called SNOW BLINDNESS.

Such exposure may be permanentaly damaged the cornea because the destruction caused by UV-B is incurable.

Snow blindness is a painful, temporary loss of vision due to overexposure to the sun's UV rays.
It can occur due to using tanning beds without proper eyewear.
In most cases, snow blindness disappears when a person rests the eyes and remains indoors. Wearing sunglasses or dark goggles helps prevent snow blindness.
