soil erosion may be defined as follows -

  • it is the removal of the upper layer of the soil subjected to the activity of the water,wind,plants,animals,etc.
  • this causes the degradation of the soil.
  • this also results in loss of fertility of soil.
  • the growth of plants are hampered as a result of soil erosion.
  • this also leads to poor drainage.
