the top most layer of earth is called crust which ia also known as soil

soil formation depends on how physical weathering has affected parental rock or bed rock because on parental rock conditions make various kind of soils

HEY DEAR.....!

SOIL :The upper layer of earth in which plant grow ,a black or dark brown material typically consisting of a mixture of organic remains, clay and rock particles .

The basic factors of soil formation are :-
1)CLIMATE : climate is an important factor for soil formation. temperature and precipitation influence the speed of weathering of plant material and thus soil properties such as mineral consumption and organic matter contant.
2)TOPOGRAPHY : slope and assest are two featuresof topography that affect soil formation.
3)VEGETATION : The soil formation has been greatly affected by biotic agents .biotic agents including organism such as bacteria and gophers that live in the soil and vegetation growing on the surface.
