solid waste management includes categorizing waste into three types
1) biodegradable
2) recyclable
3) non biodegradable
biodegradable waste can be converted into compost by letting them degrade naturally in deep pits.
non biodegradable waste mainly includes plastic waste which are generated at homes, office etc. plastic waste can be controlled by limiting the use of plastic bags and replacing them with cloth or jute bags.
