A sol is a colloidal solution and suspension of very small solid particles in a continuous liquid medium. It is quite stable and show the tyndall effect. Example:- milk, blood, pigment ink, cell fluids, paint, clouds,shaving cream etc. It is a type of colloid in which dispersed phase is solid and dispersion medium is liquid. Its particle size ranges from 1 nm to 1 micro metre.
