solar cells r fit in the solar panels ....they r used to convert (sunlight) light energy to electrical energy.....they r made up of a special type of silicon and also silver is used in manufacturing them. Solar cells r used in electrical calculators ,in some toys and also in the satellites ....they r very useful since they help in providing electricity to those remote areas where setting up electrical transmission lines is impossible.
