What is solenoid ? Draw the field line if the magnetic field line of the magnetic field produced on passing current carrying solenoid.

Magnetic field around a current carrying solenoid is as shown in the figure. These appear to be similar to that of a bar magnet. One end of thesolenoid behaves like North Pole and the other end behaves like the South Pole. Magnetic field lines inside thesolenoid are in the form of parallel straight lines.
