The amount of solute that dissolves in hundred gram of solvent to form a saturated solution at a particular temperature is called its solubility.

For example - The masses of sodium chloride and potassium nitrate that dissolved in 100 gram of water at 4°C and 36.5 g and 63 g respectively. Obviously, the solubility of potassium nitrate is greater than that the sodium chloride.
