what is sonar? Sonar is a technique that uses sound propagation to navigate, communicate with or detect objects on or under the surface of the water, such as other vessels.

how it works? Sonar is simply making use of an echo. When an animal or machine makes a noise, it sends sound waves into the environment around it. Those waves bounce off nearby objects, and some of them reflect back to the object that made the noise.

write any use for sonar? Sonar (originally an acronym for sound navigation ranging) is a technique that uses sound propagation (usually underwater, as in submarine navigation) to navigate, communicate with or detect objects on or under the surface of the water, such as other vessels.

sonar stands for sound navigation and ranging , it is used in ships to find cluster of fish or any sinked object. their two devices on which sonar works first is transmitter and second is receiver . Transmitter used to send the signal in sea which is received by reciver. you can compare sonar with bat as sonar bat use ultrasonic waves to catch its prey this process is known as echoilatiom
