What is SOUND?

--Sound is a form of energy produced by a vibrating body.
It requires a medium to travel.
It can travel through solids,liquids and gases but not VACUUM.
It travels fastest in solids and slowest in gases.
There are 3 basic characteristics of sound namely:PITCH,LOUDNESS and QUALITY.
We can hear to sound only with the help of our EARS.
Sometimes we tend to get irritated by a particular type of sound like continuous honking of A vehicle.
Such kind of unpleasant sound is termed as NOISE.
