here is your answer

___________________________

=>

if A vibrating tuning fork is pressed against a sonometer wire with forced vibration produced in table of hollow box and his vibration transferred to a column field in hollow box which results in to increase in vibration amplitude of sound and intensity of sound increases. air field of hollow box is called sound box.

★ during pressed with table some energy transferred to table so TF can do variation not for longer duration

Answer:

Sonometer:- It is a type of device which give us the relationship between frequency, tension and length of the string.

Explanation:

Sonometer Practical:- It works on the principle of resonance.

Steps are as follows:-

1. If we will press the vibrating turning fork opposite to the sonometer then in the hollow table box there will be some forced vibrations and then these vibrations will be going to column filled in the hollow box. That air filled hollow box is known as sound box.

2. Then those air column filled box will lead to increase vibration amplitude of the sound and also it will lead to increase in the intensity of the sound.

3. In between the time of the contact there will be some transfer of energy that's why tunnel fork's vibration will not be longer.

4. Sound intensity will be maximum in the case of maximum transferred energy from tunnel fork to vibrating wire.
