when an object vibrates and creates waves , the waves move through a medium which is called WAVE MOTION.

The travelling of sound is called propagation of sound.
*Sound is propagate by the to and fro motion of particles of the motion.
*When an object vibrate it sets the particles of the medium around it vibrating.Each particles disturbs the particles.Thus the disturbance is carried from the source to light energy.
