❄️♐STOPPING POTENTIAL:-

⚡it is minimum magnitude of negative potential of anode with respect to cathode for which current is zero is called stopping potential.

⚡ this is also known as cut off voltage.

⚡this voltage is independent of intensity.

Hope it will help you...✌️✌️

the stopping potential is difined as the potential necessary to stop any electron from reaching the other side

aamirkhan9731pbos2x: We develop negative charge to repel an electron (to know about kinetic energy) but the surface of plate from where the electron is emmited also have positive charge so a few quantity of kinetic energy of the electron should be decreased due to attraction because electron has negative charge?
aamirkhan9731pbos2x: If you know please tell me
