Answer:

A storm water drain or a stormsewer is a drainage system that is used to drain out the excessive amount of rainwater or groundwater that has flooded those places that need to be used by humans on a day to day basis. These places include roads, footpaths parking lots and houses. Storm drain often opens up into rivers or similar water bodies. So in order to to preserve the water for future usage no amount of hazardous products can be thrown into the stormsewer.

India has storm drainage infrastructure and there are thousands of it. But most of them need immediate improvements because major part of them are not made of pucca construction.
