Nucleus is found in eukaryotic cells.it contains nuclear membrane nucleolus chromosome & cytoplasm.it is situated in the cytoplasm of the cell.it is a Sphere shaped organelle.it is the single largest organelle found in the animal cell.it is also called the brain of the cell.its main function is to control the hereditary characteristics of an organism.

The nucleus has a double layered covering called nuclear membrane. The nuclear membrane has pores which allow the transfer of material from inside the nucleus to it's outside. The nucleus contains chromosome which are visible as rod shaped structure only when the cell is about to divide.. The nucleus plays a central role in cellular reproduction..
