Hi!!

Here's your answer!!

The process in which solid directly changes to gas on heating at a particular temperature, is called Sublimation.

ACTIVITY

Aim: To demonstrate the process of sublimation.

Things needed : Camphor, funnel, cotten plug ,China Dish, Bunsen burner, Tripod stand, wire gauze.

Method:

1. Take a China dish and put some crushed Camphor in it.

2. Put a cotton plug on the stem ( narrow end) of the funnel and cover the China dish with this funnel.

3. Place the China dish on a Tripod stand and heat it.

Observation:

On heating camphor directly changes into its vapour. The vapour condenses in the cooler portion of the funnel i.e.,narrow end to give camphor (sublimate).

Conclusion:

Camphor is a sublimable substance. It changes from the solid state to the gaseous state.

Hope this helps you!!
